Change it as

3x²-x-4=0

Now by splitting the middle term,

3x²-(4-3)x-4=0

3x²-4x+3x-4=0

Take Out common term

x(3x-4)+1(3x-4)=0

Now,

(3x-4)(x+1)=0

So either 3x-4=0 or x+1=0

Therefore, x=4/3 or x=-1

Answer:

firstly arrange in ryt order.... 3x^2-x-4=0

3x^2-4x+3x-4=0

x(3x-4) +1(3x-4) =0

(x+1) (3x-4) =0

x=-1

x=4/3
