Answer:α=(5+√37)/6 & β=(5-√37)/6

Step-by-step explanation:

3x^2-5x-1=0

Let 3 be a, -5 be b and -1 be c.

According to quadratic formula

D=b^2-4ac

=(-5)^2-(4*3*-1)

=25+12

=37

Again by using quadratic formula

x=(-b+-√D)/2a

x={-(-5)+-√37}/2*3

x=(5+-√37)/6

Therefore,x=(5+√37)/6 or x=(5-√37)/6

Or alpha=(5+√37)/6 and beta=(5-√37)/6.

Hope it helps.
