Answer:

x = 2/3, x = -1.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the zeros of the polynomial

3x² + x - 12

By splitting the middle term,

3x² + 3x - 2x - 2= 0

3x (x + 1) - 2 (x + 1)= 0

(3x - 2) (x + 1) =0

So, x = 2/3,. x = -1.

first of all the quadratic form is a x^2+bx+c

second step we factorise this term

(x-2)(x+2)

then this term is equal to 0

x-2=0. | x+2=0

x=2. | x= -2.

sum of zeroes = ( -cofficient of x /cofficient of x ^2)

2+(-2)= -(-1/3)

1=1

product of zeroes = (constant term /cofficient of x ^2)

2×(-2)= (-12/3)

(-4)=(-4)

hope its helful
