Step-by-step explanation:

now if we are supposed to factorise it then

  1. 3x^2 -x - 2

= 3x^2 - 3x +2x- 2 ( mid term splitting)

=3x ( x-1) + 2 (x-1)

= (3x+2)(x-1)

2 . x^2- 7x + 12

= x^2 -3x-4x + 12 ( mid term splitting)

= x (x-3) -4 ( x-3)

( x-4)(x- 3)

3. 3x^2 - 7x -6

= 3x^2 -9x +2x -6 ( mid term splitting)

= 3x ( x- 3) + 2( x-3)

= (3x + 2) (x-3)

4 . x^2 - 4

= x^2 - (2)^2 [ a^2 - b^2 = (a+b) (a-b)]

= (x+2) (x-2)
