3x² −x−4 ( by splitting the middle term)

=3x² −4x+3x−4=0

=x(3x−4)+1(3x−4)=0

=(3x−4)(x+1)=0.

= 3x-4 =0 ; x+1 = 0

= 3x = 4 ; x = 1

= x = -1/3

So the zeroes of the polynomial are x = -1/3 and x = 1
