Hey!!!
Let's solve
=> 3x² - x - 4 = 0
By splitting method
=> 3x² - 4x + 3x - 4 = 0
=> x(3x - 4) + (3x - 4) = 0
=> (3x - 4)(x + 1) = 0
Thus
=> x = - 1 or x = 4/3
Hope this helps ✌️

Hi...☺
Here is your answer.....☺
=================================
By splitting the middle term:
♦ 3x² - x - 4
=> 3x² - 4x + 3x - 4
=> x( 3x - 4) + 1( 3x - 4)
=> ( x + 1) ( 3x - 4)
Hence, solved...
Thanks...☺
