the answer will be 4.as 3y +3y+7-3=4y+12
hence,6y+4=4y+12
=6y-4y=12-4
=2y=8
=y=8/2
=4. answer

3y + 7 + 3 × (y - 1) = 2 × (2y + 6)

opening brackets.....

3y + 7 + 3y - 3 = 4y + 12

6y + 4 = 4y + 12

2y = 8

y = 8/2

y = 4
