The heat capacity at constant pressure is 8.09 J / mol K.

Explanation:

Given data:

Mass of gas =  4 g

V = 22.4 L

Heat capacity  Cv = 5.0 J/K mol

V (sound) = 952 m/s

Gas constant R= 8.3 J/Kmol

Solution:

Velocity of sound V = √ YPV /M

Y = M / PV . V^2 (sound) = Cp/ Cv

Heat capacity at constant pressure:

Cp = Cv  [ M / Pv]V^2 (sound)  = 5 [ 4 x 10^-3 / 10^5 x 22.4 x 10^-3 ] (952)^2

    = 20 / 22.4 x (952)^2 x 10^-5

    = 809.200 x 10^-5  = 8.09 J / mol K
