Given: 4 1/2 + 3 1/2  divided by 7/12 subtract 1/2 divided by 2.

To Find: The value of it.

Solution:

Firstly according to the rule in maths, we have to write the terms 4 1/2 and 3 1/2 in the form of improper fractions for easy simplification.

4 1/2 can be written as 4*2+1/2

4 1/2= 9/2.

Same way 3 1/2 can be written as 3*2+1/2

3 1/2= 7/2

Now according to the question. we have to add the first two terms that are 9/2+7/2

9/2+7/2= 9+7/2

9/2+7/2= 16/2

Since 16 is divisible by 2 therefore 16/2= 8.

Now accordingly we have to divide 8 by 7/12

8/7/12= 8*12/7

8/7/12= 96/7

Now according to the question in the next step, we have to subtract 1/2 from 96/7

96/7-1/2= 192-7/14

96/7-1/2= 185/14.

And in the last step, we have to divide 185/14 by 2

185/14/2= 185/14*2

185/14/2= 185/28

Therefore the answer is 185/28 or 6.60714.
