4.1 If two rods, A and B, of the same weight and length but different thicknesses are placed in sand,
which of them will sink deeper? Give reasons for your answer. (Hint: Think about the pressure exerted

The rod A having more area of contact compared to rod B,and the forces is same because of same weight of the rods. Therefore the rod B will exert more pressure on that area than rod A. Hence,the rod B will sink more.
