\huge{\boxed{\mathcal\pink{\fcolorbox{red}{white}{Answer}}}}

 {4}^{20}  +  {4}^{20}  =  {2}^{x}

now

 {2}^{20 \times 2}  +  {2}^{20 \times 2}  =  {2}^{x}

if the base is same then the power can be added or substrated .

 {2}^{40}  +  {2}^{40}  =   {2}^{x}

 {2}^{2 \times 40}  =  {2}^{x}  \\ x = 80

hope it help ❣
