\huge\bf{Solution}

4 ( 2x + 3 ) - 5 ( 3x + 4 ) =2

8x + 12 - 15x - 20 = 2

- 7x - 8 = 2

-7x = 2 + 8

-7x = 10

x = 10/-7

x = -10/7

4(2x + 3) - 5(3x + 4) = 2 \\ or \:  \:  \: 8x + 12 - 15x - 20 = 2 \\ or \:  \:  \:   - 7x - 8 = 2 \\ or \:  \:  \:  - 7x = 2 + 8 \\ or \:  \:  \:  - 7x = 10 \\ or \:  \:  \: x =  \frac{10}{ - 7}  \\ so \:  \:  \: x =  -  \frac{10}{7}
