Let us assume that 4\sqrt{3}+7 is p/q where p and q are co-primes and q\neq0

Now, 4\sqrt{3} = p/q-7 .... ( Shifting 7 to RHS)

Now \sqrt{3}= 1/3 (p/q-7)

= \sqrt{3}= (p/4q-7/4)

Since p/q is rational, therefore p/4q is also rational which says that \sqrt{3} is rational.

But as we know \sqrt{3} is irrational, this creates as Contradiction.

Therefore 4\sqrt{3}+7 is irrational.
