Given :-

  • (3x + 2) - 5 (6 x - 1) = 2 (x - 8)-6 (7 x-4)

To find :-

  • Value of x

Solution :-

  • Question from linear equation in one variable

→ (3x + 2) - 5(6x - 1) = 2(x - 8) - 6(7x - 4)

→ 3x + 2 - 30x + 5 = 2x - 16 - 42x + 24

  • Arrange variable and constant

→ 3x - 30x + 2 + 5 = 2x - 42x - 16 + 24

→ - 27x + 7 = - 40x - 8

→ 40x - 27x = - 8 - 7

→ 13x = - 15

→ x = - 15/13

Hence,

  • The value of x is - 15/13

More to know

  • Linear equation in two variable → An equation which can be written in the form of ax + by = c, where a, b, c are real number.

  • It has two variable i.e x and y
