3-4 is the multiplicative inverse of 4-3

Anonymous9solver: Sorry, I haven't studied this topic yet.
Swarup1998: No problem. If you want, you can learn the solution.
Anonymous9solver: Sure but from which standard this question is from?
Swarup1998: I am not sure of it. :) Learning doesn't need to have a "standard" necessarily.
Anonymous9solver: last year i studied about reciprocal and multiplicative inverse they both confuse me.
Swarup1998: Reciprocal and multiplicative inverse, both are same.
Anonymous9solver: :/ you are good in Mathew I guess

Swarup1998: Just a learner! ☺

Answer :

The required multiplicative inverse is

(4 + 3i)/25

Solution :

If x be considered as the multiplicative inverse of 4 - 3i,

(4 - 3i) x = 1

or, x = 1/(4 - 3i)

or, x = (4 + 3i)/{(4 - 3i)(4 + 3i)}

or, x = (4 + 3i)/(16 - 9i²)

or, x = (4 + 3i)/(16 + 9) , since i² = - 1

or, x = (4 + 3i)/25

∴ the required multiplicative inverse is

(4 + 3i)/25
