Hey there !

Solution:

4 - 4 ( x - 5 ) = 2 ( 2 - x ) - 6

Multiplying the terms and simplifying we get,

=> 4 - 4x + 20 = 4 - 2x - 6

=> 24 - 4x = - 2x - 2

Transposing x terms to RHS and Constants to LHS we get,

=> 24 + 2 = 4x - 2x

=> 26 = 2x

=> x = 26 / 2 = 13

Hence the value of x is 13.

Hope my answer helped !

4 - 4 ( x - 5 ) = 2 ( 2 - x ) - 6

4 - 4x + 20 = 4 - 2x - 6

24 - 4x = - 2x - 2

24 + 2 = 4x - 2x

26 = 2x

x = 26 / 2 = 13
