10% and thereafter decreased by 10%.
What is the change in his salary?​

Answer:

The total difference between the original salary and new salary = 100 - 99 = 1. So, after incrementing the salary by 10% and decrementing it by 10% the difference is 1. So, net effect of the salary will be 1%.

Let the salary of the worker be hundred rupees.

After increase it become ₹100 + 10% of 100 = 110₹

After decrease in become ₹100 - 10% of ₹110 = ₹99

The percentage reduction = 100-99 = 1 %
