There is trick that is BODMAS.

B is Bracket

O is of(multiplication)

D is division

M is multiplication

A is addition

S is subraction

so first... before subraction there is addition so you have to add the number first. 5 + 3 is 8. and next subraction. 8 - 4 is 4 and the answer came.
