Here,


First term ( a ) = 4/5


second term ( a2) = x


and,


Third term ( a3) = 2




Common difference ( d ) = x - 4/5 = 5x-4/5


Also,


Common difference. ( d) = 2 - x.



Therefore,


5x-4/5 = 2 - x



5x - 4 = 5 ( 2 - x )


5x - 4 = 10 - 5x


5x + 5x = 10 + 4


10x = 14



x = 14/10 = 7/5.
