Hey there !

4/5 (y+5/6)- 2/3(y-1/4) = 7/6

4/5y + 4*5/6*5 - 2/3 y +2/3*1/4 = 7/6

4/5 y +4/6 - 2/3y +1/6 = 7/6

4/5-2/3 y =7/6-5/6

12-10/15 y =2/6

2/15 y = 2/6

y = 2/6 *15/2

y= 15/6

y=5/2

hope helped !

Simplify the expression

\frac{\left(4\cdot\left(y+\frac{5}{6}\right)\right)}{5}-\frac{\left(2\cdot\left(y+\frac{-1}{4}\right)\right)}{3}=\frac{7}{6}

\frac{\left(4y+\frac{20}{6}\right)}{5}-\frac{\left(2\cdot\left(y+\frac{-1}{4}\right)\right)}{3}=\frac{7}{6}</p><p>

\frac{4y}{5}+\frac{2}{3}-\frac{\left(2y+\frac{-2}{4}\right)}{3}=\frac{7}{6}</p><p>

\frac{4y}{5}+\frac{2}{3}+\frac{-2}{3}\cdoty+\frac{1}{6}=\frac{7}{6}

Combine like terms:

\frac{2}{15}\cdoty+\frac{5}{6}=\frac{7}{6}

Group all constants on the right side of the equation

Subtract 56 from both sides:

\frac{2}{15}\cdoty+\frac{5}{6}=\frac{7}{6} \\  \\ \frac{2}{15}y+\frac{5}{6}-\frac{5}{6}=\frac{7}{6}-\frac{5}{6} \\  \\ \frac{2}{15}\cdoty=\frac{7}{6}-\frac{5}{6} \\  \\ \frac{2}{15}\cdoty=\frac{1}{3}

Isolate the y

Multiply both sides by inverse fraction 152

\frac{2}{15}\cdoty=\frac{1}{3} \\  \\ \frac{2}{15}y\cdot\frac{15}{2}=\frac{1}{3}\cdot\frac{15}{2} \\  \\ y=\frac{1}{3}\cdot\frac{15}{2} \\  \\ y=\frac{5}{2}
