4/5th of the voters promised to vote for candidate A and the rest promised to vote for candidate B. Of these voters, 10% of the voters who had promised to vote for candidate A, did not vote on the election day, while 20% of the voters who had promised to vote for candidate B did not vote on the election day. What is the total number of votes polled if candidate A got 216000 votes?

Correct option is

A

100

Let total voter are 100

Then p get vote =2/5×100=40

Or q get votes=3/5×100=60

As per quotation at voting time 15% of vote goes to Q=40/100×15=6

And 25% voter back to p =10060×25=15

Then p get vote =40−6+15=49 and Q get votes=60+15−6=51

Diff of q and p vote=51−49=2

So total voter are 100
