Question:

 \frac{4x}{5}  -  \frac{1}{6}  =  \frac{9}{2}  - 2x

Answer:

The \: value \: of \: \boxed{x \: is \:  \frac{5}{3} }

Step-by-step explanation:

 \frac{4x}{5}  -  \frac{1}{6}  =  \frac{9}{2}  - 2x

L.C.M in L.H.S. = 30

L.C.M in R.H.S. = 2

 \frac{24x - 5}{30}  =  \frac{9 - 4x}{2}

 \frac{24x - 5}{15}  =  \frac{9 - 4x}{1}

Now cross multiplying,

1(24x - 5) = 15(9 - 4x)

24x - 5 = 135 - 60x

60x + 24x = 135 + 5

84x = 140

21x = 35------------------>1

3x = 5

\boxed{x =  \frac{5}{3}}

Verification:

Substituting the value of x in eq 1

21( \frac{5}{3} ) = 35

7 \times 5 = 35

35 = 35

Hence verified.

Note:

An exchange of two elements of an ordered list with all others staying the same is known as transposition method .
