2Na + 2H2O = 2NaOH + H2

2 moles of Na dissolve in 2 moles of water to evolve 1 mole of hydrogen gas.

Means 46 g of Na reacts with 36 g of water to form 2 g of hydrogen.

So 4.6 g will only react with 3.6 g of water to form 0.2 g of hydrogen. Rest water will remain unreacted.

Rayhan333: but the options are 1). 2.24L 2. ) 1.12 L 3) 4.48L 4) 11.2L
Sharen2002: 2.24 L is the right answer.
