Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

4/7 group of student are boys.if there are 18 more boys than girls.

To find:-

how many children are there all together

Solution:-

Let the number of students be X

No. of boys = 4/7 group of students=4X/7

No. of girls=No. of students-No. of boys

=>X-(4X/7)

=>(7X-4X)/7

=>3X/7

No. of girls =3X/7

According to the problem

there are 18 more boys than girls

=>4X/7=(3X/7)+18

=>4X/7-3X/7=18

=>(4X-3X)/7=18

=>X/7=18

=>X=7×18

=>X=126

No. of boys

=4X/7

=(4×126)/7

=4×18

=72

No. of girls

=3X/7

=(3×126)/7

=>3×18

=>54

Answer:-

No. of boys =72

No. of girls=54

Total no. of students=126
