Answer:

Given:-

In a Quadiratral

  • Length of a diagonal =40cm
  • Length of perpendicular drawn to it from opposite vertices = 12cm and 7.5cm

To find:-

Area of the Quadiratral

Solution:-

As we know that in a Quadiratral

{\boxed{\sf Area=\dfrac {1}{2}\times Diagonal \times sum\:of\:the\:length\:of\:perpendiculars\:drawn\:from\:opposite\:vertices}}

  • Substitute the values

{:}\longrightarrow\sf Area=\dfrac {1}{2}\times 40 \times  (12+7.5)

  • Simplify

{:}\longrightarrow\sf Area=\dfrac {1}{\cancel {2}}\times \cancel{40} \times 19.5

{:}\longrightarrow\sf Area=20\times 19.5

{:}\longrightarrow\bf Area=390cm^2

\therefore\underline{\underline{\sf Ares\;of\:the\;quadiratral\:is 390cm^2.}}
