let the a-1 be x

4x^2-4x-3

4x^2-6x+2x-3

2x(2x-3) +1(2x-3)

(2x-3) (2x+1)

x=a-1

(2(a-1)-3) (2(a-1)+1)

(2a-2-3) (2a-2+1)

To Find :-

➪ {4(a − 1)}^{2} –4(a – 1) – 3

Solution :-

➪  \: 4(a  \: −  \: 1) {}^{2}  \: – \: 4(a \: – \: 1) \: – \: 3 \\  \\  = 4( {a}^{2}   -  2(a)(1) +  {1}^{2} ) - 4a + 4 - 3 \\  \\  = 4 {a}^{2}  - 2a + 4 - 4a + 4 - 3 \\  \\  \large \boxed{ = 4 {a}^{2}  - 6a + 5}
