Total distance travelled in going and coming back
d = 30 m + 30 m = 60 m
Total time taken in going and coming back
t = 1 min + 1.5 min = 2.5 min
= 2.5 × 60 s = 150 s
Average speed = Total distance travelled/Total time of travel
= 60 m/150s = 0.4 m s-1
