Step-by-step explanation:

let the distance traveled by the car be x and bicycle be x-9

time taken = final time - initial time

                  = 10:10-10:00

                  = 10 mins = 10/60= 1/6= 0.16

speed of car would be greater than the speed of bicycle ( because car is ahead of the bicycle)

difference in their speeds=  speed of car- speed of bicycle

                                          = (x/0.16) - (x-9/0.16)         { speed= distance / time}

                                          =  x-x+9/ 0.16

                                          =  9/0.16

                                          =  900/16

                                          =  56.25

sorry it is not one from the given options but this is the ans

please tell if it helped you

Answer:

option (3) is correct

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the distance by car = (x +9) km

Let the distance by bicycle = x km

The time which both stated their journey = 10:00am

Time at which they were compared= 10:10 am

Which means it took 10 mins = 1/6 hr

So,

Speed of car = x+9/1/6 km/hr = 6(x+9) km/hr

Speed of bicycle = x/1/6 km/hr = 6x km/hr

Difference in their speeds =  6(x+9)-6x = 6x+54-6x = 54 km/hr

Hence, option (3) is correct
