4.A copper sphere of radius 15 cm at temperature 25°C is heated up to a temperature of

95°C. The coefficient of linear expansion of copper is 17 × 10−6 K

−1.What is the change in volume of sphere

Answer:

V=volume of sphere at radius 15cm

V=change in vol. Of sphere

T=change in temp. =95-25=70 °C

Alpha=Coefficient of linear expansion

Now use formula

V/V=3 × alpha × T

V=3 × alpha × T × V

Put the values in above EQ

V=3 × 17 × 10-6 × 70 × [4/3π(15)³]

V =>50.44 cm³
