base of 1 tile = 4cm=0.4dm

Area of 1 tile = Altitude×base = 1dm×0.4dm=0.4dm square (as the tile is a parallelogram)

= 400dm square

cost of polishing the design per dm square = rupees 9.50

cost of polishing the design of 400dm square = rupees 9.50×400= 3800 rupees
