Therefore the energy consumption of a fan and a TV per month of 30 days is 19200 Wh.

Given : A fan of power 50 W is used 8 hours per day and a TV of power 40 W is used 6 hours per day.

To find : The energy consumption of a fan and TV per month of 30 days.

solution : We know, energy = power × time taken

a/c to question, a fan of power 50 W is used 8 hours per day.

so total energy consumption of a fan per month of 30 days = 50 W × 8 hrs/day × 30 days

= 12000 Wh

similarly, a TV of power 40 W is used 6 hours per day.

so total energy consumption of a TV per month of 30 days = 40W × 6 hrs/day × 30 days

= 7200 Wh

then total energy consumption per month of 30 days = 12000 + 7200 = 19200 Wh

Therefore the energy consumption of a fan and a TV per month of 30 days is 19200 Wh.
