(4) No its not possible to keep / store gases in open container. Why? Because, when we compress gases into cylinders or containers then particles of gas exerts pressure on wall of container but due to lit the gas isn't allowed to escape.

(5) Solid is the state in which matter maintains a fixed volume and shape; liquid is the state in which matter adapts to the shape of its container but varies only slightly in volume; and gas is the state in which matter expands to occupy the volume and shape of its container.
