Initially, the distance between the man and the mirror is 10m. So, the distance between man and image is 12+12=24m
Distance between the man and his image is 4.5m when the man is 2.25m away from the mirror.
Therefore, he has to walk 12m -2.25m=9.75m towards the mirror.
