•Volume of metal cuboid is = 16 cm ×11 cm × 10 cm =1760 cm^3
Now,the thickness of coin is = 2 mm= 0.2 cm
The thickness(h) of coin is 0.2 cm
Radius of coin(r) = diameter /2 cm =2/2 cm =1 cm
As the coin has cylindrical shape .
So, volume of coin is = π(r^2)h= 0.628 cm^3
(as π =22/7= 3.14)
so,the number of coins = volume of metal cuboid/volume of one coin= 1760/0.628 =2802.54
So, the number of coins were made is 2802.

Step-by-step explanation:
Given A metal cuboid of measures 16 cm x 11 cm x 10 cm was melted to make coins. How many coins were made, if the thickness and diameter of each coin was 2 mm and 2 cm respectively ? 1 cm = 10 mm
- Given dimension of the metal cuboid = 16 cm x 11 cm x 10 cm
- Thickness of the coin = 2mm = 0.1 x 2 = 0.2 cm
- Diameter of coin = 2 cm, so radius will be r = d/2 = 2/2 = 1 cm
- We know that area of a circle = π r^2
- = 22/7 x 1 x 1
- = 22/7
- Also total area of one coin will be 22/7 x 0.2 (thickness)
- = 4.4 / 7
- Now total number of coins will be total area of metal cuboid / total area of one coin
- = 16 x 11 x 10 x 7 / 4.4
- = 12,320 / 4.4
- = 2800 coins
