4. A overhead water tank is 3 m long and
2 m wide. It contains water upto a height
of 1.2 m. Find the volume of water
contained in the tank in (a) m' and (b) litre.

i > volume = l×b×h

v = 3×2×1.2

= 7.2m cube or

(7.2 × 1000)m

= 7200 m

ii> 3×2×1.2

=7.2 m cube or 7.2 litres
