Given :-

  • A paint roller has a diameter of 10cm and height of 21 cm.

To Find :-

  • How much area can the paint roller cover in eight revolution?

Solution :-

  • Curved surface area = 2πrh

Where,

  • Diameter = 10 cm
  • Radius = 10/2 = 5 cm
  • Height = 21 cm

➟ CSA = 2 × 22/7 × 5 × 21

➟ CSA = 2 × 22 × 5 × 3

➟ CSA = 44 × 5 × 3

➟ CSA = 660 cm ²

Now,

➟ Area = 660 × 8

➟ Area = 5280 cm²

∴ 5280 cm² area can the paint roller cover in eight revolution

  • Diameter = 10 cm
  • Radius = 10/2 = 5 cm
  • Height = 21 cm

CSA of the cylinder = 2πrh

= 22/7 × 5 × 21

= 44 × 15

= 660 cm³
