Step-by-step explanation:

L = 40m

B = 15m

A = 2( L + B )

Area = 2 ( 40 + 15 )

Area = 2 X 55

∴ The perimeter of the rectangular plot is 110 m

ii. Find the length of a side of a square plot with the same perimeter

P = 4 X Side

∴ Side = P / 4

Side = 110 / 4

Side = 27.5 m

iii. Find the cost of fencing the plot at Rs. 30 per meter

Cost = 30 X 27.5

∴ Cost = Rs. 825
