Step-by-step explanation:

##Let M.P = Rs. x

X + 7%of x = 5,350

X + 7/100 *x = 5,350

107x = 5,35000

x = Rs.5000

M.P and S.P of retailer = Rs.5000

Next :

S.P = (1 + P% /100 ) C.P

5000= (1 + 25 /100) C.P

5000 = 5 / 4 * C.P

C.P = Rs.4000

Discount = Rs. 5000 - Rs.4000 (M.P - C.P )

= Rs. 1000

Discount percentage = 1000 / 5000*100

= 20%
