Answer:

352cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

Given---> A rocket is in the shape of a cone surmounted on cylinder and their common diameter is 8cm. The height of cylindrical and conical shapes are 6cm and 3cm respectively

To find---> Volume of the rocket

Solution----> ATQ,

Common Diameter of shape = 8c

Common radius of shape = 4cm

Height of cylindrical shape = 6cm

Height of conical shape = 3cm

We know , Volume of cylinder = π r² h

So,

Volume of cylindrical part = π r² h

= π × ( 4 )² × 6

= π × 16 × 6

= 96 π Cm³

We know that,

Volume of conical part = ( 1 / 3 ) π r² h

= ( 1 / 3 ) π ( 4 )² × 3

= π × 16

= 16 π Cm³

Volume of rocket = Volume of cylindrical part + Volume of conical part

= 96 π + 16 π

= 112 π

= 112 × ( 22 / 7 )

=( 112 × 22 ) / 7

= 16 × 22

= 352 Cm³
