A rubber ball of mass 250g is dropped from a height of 5m
and bounces back to a height of 4m. Calculate the KE &
the bell just before the impact the velocity of the ballinn
before it hit the ground in the relocity of the ball just after
rebounce, and to the loss of energy caused by the impact

Answer:

solved

Explanation:

KE  just before the impact = mv²/2 = mgh = 0.25x10x5 = 7.5 joules

the velocity of the ball  before it hit the ground = √2gh = √20x5 = 10m/s

velocity of the ball just after  rebounce   =  √80 = 4√5 m/s

and to the loss of energy caused by the impact = mg(h2-h1) = 2.5(5-4) =  2.5j
