Given :-

A train starting from rest attains a velocity of 108km/h in 10 minutes.

To Find :-

Acceleration

Distance

Solution :-

We know that

1 km/h = 5/18 m/s

108 km/h = 108 × 5/18

108 km/h = 6 × 5

108 km/h = 30 m/s

1 min = 60 sec

10 min = 10 × 60

10 min = 600 sec

Now

a = (v - u)/t

a = (30 - 0)/600

a = 30/600

a = 1/20

a = 0.05 m/s²

Now

v² - u² = 2as

(30)² - (0)² = 2(0.05)(s)

900 - 0 = 0.1s

900 = 0.1s

900/0.1 = s

9000/1 = s

9000 = s
