A triangle and a parallelogram have the same base and the same area. If the side
the triangle are 26 cm, 28 cm and 30 em, and the parallelogram stands on the
28 cm, find the height of the parallelogram.​

Area of the triangle = 14 h ........(1)

Parallelogram:

length of base = 28 cm

Area of parallelogram = base × height

= 28 × h

Area of parallelogram = 28 h ..........(2)

But the areas of triangle and parallelogram are equal

Therefore, Area of triangle = Area of parallelogram

14 h = 28 h

1 = 28 h - 14 h

1 = 14 h

1 ÷14 = h

Hence, the height of the parallelogram is ( 1÷14 ) cm
