Answer:

500 kg m/s

Explanation:

Given : m=1000 kg v=0.5 m/s

∴ Momentum of the car P=mv=1000×0.5=500 kg m/s

Solution :-

Given ,

  • Mass of truck = 1000kg
  • Velocity of truck = 0.5 m/s

We need to find ,

  • Momentum of truck = ?

As we know that ,

p = m × v

Where ,

  • p → momentum = ?
  • m → mass of truck = 1000 kg
  • v → velocity of truck = 0.5 m/s

Substituting the values we have ,

⇒ p = 1000 × 0.5

⇒ p = 1000 × 1/2

Momentum ( p ) = 500 kgm/s

Hence , momentum of truck is 500 kgm/s . So , option D is your answer .
