Since side of square is 18cm total length will be 18*4  = 72cm

Area (sq) = 18*18 = 324 cm^2

Wire Length = 72 cm

72 = 2l + 2b

72 = 18 + 2b

b = 27cm

Area (rec) = l*b = 27*9 cm^2 <  324

therefore area of square is larger
