4. ABC is an isosceles triangle with AB=AC and AD is one of its
altitudes (Fig 7.34).
(1) State the three pairs of equal parts in AADB and AADC.
(i) Is AADBE AADC? Why or why not?
(iii) Is ZB = 2 C? Why or why not?
(iv) Is BD =CD? Why or why not?​

I) In triangle ADB and ADC,

AB=AC(given)

AD=AD (common)

angleABD=angleACD(angles opposite to equal sides)

II)ADB is congruent to ADC . By SAS congruence condition.

iv) BD=CD(since AD is the altitude of isosceles triangle ABC or since they are corresponding parts of congruent triangle ADB and ADC
