4. Abdul visited a botanical garden with his family. He was amazed to see the different leaf patterns
various plants. He then saw a beautiful butterfly sitting on a pitcher plant. He was about to take its
photograph but the butterfly vanished.
(a) What do you think could be the reason for different patterns of leaves?
(b) What do you think would have happened to the butterfly?

A. Venation is the  types of arrangement of the leaves and the type in case of a particular plant

  • B.the butterfly was consumed by the peter plant. This is because feature plant is a type of insectivorous plant. It has the capacity to consume insect such as butterfly. As a result of this the butterfly was consumed
  • These plants are usually grown in such top of soil which does not contain essential nutrients like nitrogen and phosphorus because of which it cannot perform photosynthesis and consumes insects
