4) As a part of the celebration of environment day ,the students of class 8 of a school plants trees in and around the school compound every year . This year they planted 4 more than twice the number of trees they had planted the previous year . If they had planted 24 trees this year . (i) Find the number of plants planted by them in the previous year . (ii) What moral value do you find in this activity ?

According to the question,

x=2y+4

Hence,

24=2y+4

2y=20

y=10 trees
