we know that

angle BEC = angle BEA = 90

similarly

angle BFC = angle AFC= 90 degree

angle A=angle A. (common)

angle ABE = angle AFC. (proved above)

therefore triangle ABE is congurent to triangle AFC

Now,

AB=AC (cpct)

therefore triangle ABC is isosceles
