Let the amount of Ram be " x " while Shyam be " y " .

4/5x = 1/2y

8/5x = y.

Given,

x + y = 1300

x + 8/5x = 1300

13x /5 = 1300

x /5 = 100

x = 500 .

Therefore, Money possessed by Ram = 500 Rupees.

Money possessed by Shyam = 800 Rupees .
