➤ Solution :-

$\tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{3}{8} \: \sf \: of \: \tt \: 40$

$\tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{3}{8} \times 40 = \boxed{ \tt\dfrac{3}{8} \times \dfrac{40}{1} }$

$\tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{3 \times 40}{8 \times 1} = \dfrac{120}{8}$

$\tt \longrightarrow \cancel \dfrac{120}{8} = \dfrac{15}{1} = \boxed{ \tt15}$

$\Huge\therefore$15 children went to play in playground.
