Given :-

Total children :- 40

Number of children playing :- ⅜

To Find :-

Number of children playing in playground............

Formula required :-

 \large \dashrightarrow \orange{ \boxed{  \gray{\mathfrak{ no. \: of \: Children \: Pla \sf y \mathfrak {ing \times Total \: Children}}}}} \\

Solution :-

 \tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{3}{8}  \:  \sf \: of \:  \tt \: 40

 \tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{3}{8}  \times 40 =  \boxed{  \tt\dfrac{3}{8}  \times  \dfrac{40}{1} }

 \tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{3 \times 40}{8 \times 1}  =  \dfrac{120}{8}

 \tt \longrightarrow \cancel \dfrac{120}{8}  =  \dfrac{15}{1}  =  \boxed{ \tt15}

\Huge\therefore15 children went to play in playground.
